1881 Distillery sits at the heart of the Scottish Borders, housed within a beautifully restored Victorian swimming pool at Peebles Hydro. Drawing from our own private Shieldgreen spring, we craft a distinctive collection of premium gins.

At our Gin Distiller Experience, you have the opportunity to create your very own bottle of gin. We will start your experience with a large gin and tonic and tell you a bit about the history of gin as well as the Hydro. From there, you'll get to see our distillery and what happens behind the scenes. To wrap it all up, you'll create your very own 70cl bottle of gin and pick exactly the botanicals you'd like in it.
