Reviving the Regency
Picture our Regency Room. Old-fashioned and more than a little dated, right? Wrong!
Grand with a modern flair, welcome to the new and improved Regency.
It’s fair to say that up until recently, the Regency Room was under appreciated. Occasionally, we’d have a conference in there, housekeeping would pop in a couple of times a week to run the hoover round and do some dusting, but apart from that, the Regency wasn’t exactly feeling the love!
Well, we weren’t going to allow this to continue and decided it was only right that the room enjoyed much more use and attention. So, we devised a cunning plan….
Firstly, we removed one of the partitions to create three window pods – ideal for private dining, conference break out space, or as a comfy lounge to relax in after dinner. Then we replaced the furniture which dated back to 1701 (just kidding! Although, it was pretty old and not in a good antique way either). And commissioned a bespoke banquette from Spanish furniture manufacturer Missana…
Finally, we introduced new tables, seating and lighting, gave the room a lick of paint, and laid down some plush new carpets.
The result? A multi-purpose room, flooded with light, incredible views of the Tweed Valley, stylish and comfy furniture, and a great space for both guests and conference delegates to use and enjoy.
We love how the Regency has come together and can’t wait to hear your feedback.
